Hi, I'm Victoria, a birth and postnatal doula based in Stonehaven, just outside Aberdeen, in Scotland. I support parents through pregnancy, birth and beyond. I trained as a Doula with Nurturing Birth in the UK and am a friend of the European Doula Network and work in line with the EDN's Code of Ethics.

I am a strong believer in there being strength in seeking out the right support during the journey into parenthood.  I believe birthing people have the right to a positive birth and postnatal experience, and that this can be achieved with consistent love and support during this transformational and often vulnerable time of life.

A doula (doo-lah) provides physical, emotional and information support to birthing people and new parents. Doulas give you space to discuss and explore options, needs and wishes, and offer a wealth of evidence-based knowledge which supports informed decision-making.

Research confirms that having this support has a tangible positive effect on the experience of pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period. In the times we are living in, this is more vital than ever before, given the isolation new parents are experiencing.

Does this sound like something you might be interested in? I can offer you support both antenatally and postnatally during one-to-one sessions in person or online. Please refer to the Services page to find out more.

Every doula is different, and finding the right fit for you is so important. I therefore offer a free no-obligation chat so we can get to know each other and decide if the relationship feels right (please feel free to Contact me).
